However, I do feel kind of ticked off at the assumptions that the Republicans seem to be making about female voters. It’s a tad reminiscent of the Dan Quayle selection, when the first George Bush’s advisers decided they could close the gender gap with a cute running mate.
The idea that women are going to race off to vote for any candidate with the same internal plumbing is both offensive and historically wrong.
Thank you for putting up a decent response to a few things that have been bugging me. The first being McCain’s VP choice. I haven’t decided which way I am voting but the “internal plumbing” comment hit my annoyance level right on the head! I also appreciate your pointing out the special election for Stephanie Tubbs Jones’s replacement. I asked that same question not 2 days ago. I’m glad to know there’s someone else out in reality land. One last thing to say…(although not connected in any way to this discussion) Go BUCKS!
